#SipSeaChange Campaign Joins Forces with World Ocean Day and Blue Marine Foundation

#SipSeaChange is proud to be working alongside World Ocean Day and Blue Marine Foundation in Jersey as part of its dynamic 'Art on your cup, change in your hands' campaign - an initiative designed to inspire individuals and communities to take meaningful steps toward ocean conservation, wherever they may live.

At its heart, #SipSeaChange is a creative, grassroots call to action. Developed by sustainable swimwear brand HartiSWIM, the campaign harnesses the power of art, activism and daily ritual - encouraging people to make small, conscious choices such as reusing coffee cups, recycling responsibly, or taking part in beach cleans. These simple acts, when shared online, help form a collective movement to protect our seas.

This collaboration brings together a diverse yet deeply aligned group of organisations with a shared commitment to protecting the planet.

Coopers Coffee, one of Jersey’s oldest and most cherished coffee houses, has played a central role in bringing the campaign to the local community. With a proud heritage dating back over 250 years, Coopers has long been a champion of quality, sustainability and community connection. By featuring bespoke HartiSWIM artwork on their takeaway cups, Coopers transforms a daily coffee into an opportunity for awareness and positive impact.

Alongside Coopers are two global and environmental heavyweights:

Blue Marine Foundation, with a strong presence in Jersey and throughout the British Isles, is dedicated to restoring healthy oceans by establishing marine protected areas, supporting sustainable fishing practices, and preserving marine biodiversity. Their work on the island has been instrumental in advancing long-term, science-led marine conservation.

World Ocean Day, celebrated annually on 8th June, mobilises millions of people in over 140 countries to protect and honour the ocean. Through educational outreach, advocacy, and action-driven resources, the organisation empowers communities year-round to become ocean stewards.

The support and knowledge of these organisations have been vital. Their involvement ensures that #SipSeaChange is not only creative, but grounded in real-world expertise and informed environmental practice.

Now live, the #SipSeaChange hub on hartilife.com is a rich resource for families, students, and citizens eager to do more. The platform features eight practical tips for getting involved - from eliminating single-use plastics to championing local conservation projects - offering accessible, everyday ways to take part.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to World Ocean Day, the Blue Marine Foundation, and Coopers Coffee for their unwavering support, insight, and resources in helping bring this message to life. Their collaboration reminds us that meaningful change begins with collective effort.

Together, we can make change.
