Cooper & Co
Cooper & Co. is more than abrand – it’s a philosophy. As proud Fairtrade members, they travel the world forging direct relationships with farmers, from Peru to India, ensuring everybean is ethically sourced and fully traceable.

Cooper & Co
Cooper & Co. is one of Jersey’s oldest and most cherished locally owned businesses.

Cooper & Co
As long-standing Fairtrade members and an Eco-Active business, we’re committed to quality, sustainability, and community - from visiting coffee farmers around the world to supporting over 300 local outlets and causes here at home.

Cooper & Co
Known originally as tea merchants, today we’re proudly roasting and serving ethically sourced, specialty coffee across four vibrant locations in St. Helier.

We’re proud to support the vital work of our environmental advocates - Blue Marine Foundation and World Ocean Day - whose tireless efforts in ocean and marine conservation help safeguard the seas that inspire our mission.

HartiSWIM
HartiSWIM isn’t just swimwear - it’s pop art in Lycra, hand-painted rebellion cut from recycled ocean plastic. These are not costumes for sidekicks but bold armour for sirens, made by rebels and worn by those who’d rather make waves than float. For the ocean. Always.

HartiSWIM
At HartiSWIM, based in The British Isles, the sea isn't scenery, it’s our neighbour, our muse, our responsibility. We craft swimwear from recycled plastic bottles, giving waste a second life before it sinks into the sea. Each piece is a quiet protest against fast fashion, a reminder to buy better, buy less.

HartiSWIM
Founder / Creative Director of HartiSWIM Dr Tessa Hartmann CBE with Cooper & Co CEO David Warr

HartiSWIM
Fashion must do more. So we do. We educate, not lecture, showing how daily choices shape the tides. Because that bottle in your hand doesn’t disappear; it detours into a dolphin’s future. We are sirens, not of ruin but of change. The sea has called. We’ve risen. Will you?

Harti Art
Harti is a contemporary artist known for his bold, unapologetic approach to both painting and commentary. Often described as a cultural provocateur, his raw acrylic works are more confrontations than decorations -designed to provoke thought, not just please the eye. Beyond the canvas, Harti delivers sharp, fearless critiques of modern society, combining art and insight like a scalpel to culture. His work is part expression, part diagnosis, a visual and verbal wake-up call for those willing to look a little deeper.

8 WAYS
You can help protect the ocean in Jersey

1. JOIN OR ORGANISE A BEACH CLEAN
Jersey’sbeaches are beautiful - and keeping them clean helps prevent plastic and litter from entering the ocean. Look out for local clean-up events with groups like Jersey Marine Conservation or Plastic Free Jersey, or grab a bag and go solo.

2. CHOOSE SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD
Support local fisheries that use responsible methods. Check if your fish is line-caught or sustainably sourced. Ask fishmongers or restaurants where their seafood comes from and avoid species at risk of over fishing.

3. REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
Cycling, walking, or using Jersey’s buses instead of driving helps reduce fossil fuel emissions, which warm the ocean and cause acidification. Small lifestyle shifts help slow climate change, which is deeply connected to ocean health.

4. SWITCH TO OCEAN SAFE PRODUCTS
Use reef-friendly sunscreens and biodegradable soaps. Many chemicals in conventional products harm marine life when washed into the sea. Local zero-waste stores often stock better options.

5. CUT OUT SINGLE USE PLASTICS
Refuse plastic bags, bottles, straws, and packaging whenever possible. Jersey’s size makes it ideal for setting a “low-waste” example - every plastic fork or wrapper avoided is one less risk to ocean wildlife.

6. SUPPORT MARINE CONSERVATION ZONES
Jersey has several marine protected areas. Support efforts to expand and properly manage them by backing local campaigns or spreading awareness through social media andlocal networks.

7. TEACH KIDS ABOUT THE OCEAN
Start early - talk to kids about tide pools, sea creatures, and how plastic harms turtles. Use hands-on activities and books from local libraries or World Ocean Day’s educational resources.

8. PUSH FOR OCEAN FRIENDLY POLICY
Support local officials and policies that promote clean energy, waste reduction, and habitat protection.

GET INVOLVED
The #SipSeaChange campaign champions a vital message: ocean conservation begins with individual action. Through education, recycling, beach cleans, and community support, small efforts can lead to meaningful impact. Harti and Coopers & Co rightly remind us that living on this island brings a shared duty - to protect and preserve our marine environment for future generations.

BLUE MARINE FOUNDATION
WHAT'S THE REAL COST OF YOUR SEAFOOD?
In this powerful new short film, Blue Marine ambassadors Theo James and Stephen Fry expose the hidden horrors of industrial fishing and bycatch. With dark humour and a gut-punch twist, the film lays bare the truth behind so-called “sustainable” seafood - and why bottom trawling must end.
